Probably my favorite uruguayan yerba as of now, strong flavor and very energetic. The herbal flavors are great and a nice switch up from my usually grassy chimarrão and also being easier to prepare

Perhaps my favorite Uruguayan Yerba. Very similar to Canarias but with a certain floral bitterness that I love. Good intensity of caffeine but a bit less that Canarias. Flavor wise I have to say this is my favorite

I find similarities with Canarias but Baldo ismore herbal and smoother in my opinion; a bit less bitter than Canarias, but Awesome! I found it a little more difficult to find here in the US and a little more expensive than regular Canarias or Sara but definitely worth looking for it and trying it if you like Uruguayan style

Baldo - P.U.1 Yerba Mate, fine grind. Strong but not overpowering flavor, well-balanced between Canarias Tradicional and Serena. Easily lasts 1.1 quarts, good body and rich flavor. Nothing to complain about. Herbal aroma and flavor. Very good. Brews at 175 degrees but can withstand up to 185, like all fine-grit yerba mate. Preferably use a round bombilla or Brazilian bombilla to prevent clogging.

Baldo is one of my top 3 Yerbas for sure. I make sure to keep a bag in stock at all times. It’s very similar to Canarias but has a slightly different flavor profile, not as strong.
These stores carry Baldo — may not stock Baldo Tradicional specifically.
