Unique Yerba from Darren at Yerba Mate Lab. Big respect to Darren and the community of materos he has but even outside of that this is a unique Yerba. A grassy fresh nutty tasting Yerba much reminiscent of chimarrao. It’s great and provides a stronger caffeine kick than chima does

It smells very grassy and the fist 3-5 steps it taste grassy with a small bitter aftertaste after that it get herbal notes and some bitter notes it no bitter like some smoke Yerba but it is there it’s not going to last that long compared to other Yerba especially if you drink a lot put it is very good just make sure your bombilla is good because of its Brazilian cut but overall it very fresh and grassy

Interesting flavor. Fresh, light, and extremely herbal. It smells like freshly cut grass, almost like seasoning herbs. It's not heavy; the packaging says it's neither smoked nor aged. When you take a sip, you get a strong, quick herbal note, but it fades just as quickly upon swallowing. It has a floral flavor; I imagine that's what green tea is supposed to taste like. It says it's a P.U. 1 cut, but it's more like a hybrid between a fine and coarse grind. It feels like an afternoon or after-dinner herb. Brew at 175 degrees; I don't think it can handle higher temperatures. You can use a spoon bombilla; a Brazilian bombilla isn't necessary.

La Palma from Yerba Mate Lab might be one of my top yerbas. A non-aged Uruguayan cut that somehow drinks closer to chimarrão than anything else in that category — smooth, grassy, and easy to cebar without fighting the cut. If you've been curious about chimarrão but not ready to commit to a full bomba setup, this is a great bridge.
